First Friday @ the Curve – Friday, October 2nd @ 7pm
An all-ages, family-friendly event that’s free & open to the public, and featuring performances by the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players and the Blue Monkey Sideshow!
Along with digital art by kids, stiltwalkers, popcorn…all for free!

Blue Monkey Sideshow – Atrium
A professional performance troupe that provides its own unique set of stages, lights, live music, and sound. Troupe members include Shanky, the musician, talker, and fakir of the Bed of Nails; Krembo, the talker extraordinaire, Master Manipulator, and Whip Artist; Swami B’ Mon, the bulb of enlightenment, master of the shrinkwrap, and walker on broken glass; Freakshow Foley, the World’s Strangest Strongman and Sword Swallower; and Zja’Dega, the rare talent.

Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players – Clowes Auditorium
An indie-vaudeville-conceptual-art-rock-slideshow band. The Trachtenburgs are a domestic trio (dad Jason, mom Tina Pina, and 15-year-old daughter Rachel) who play quirky indie pop songs in the key of unironic good, cleanfun with a major catch: all of their songs have carefully rhyming lyrics that come from vintage slide collections found at estate or garage sales that accompany their performances.

Rachel Trachtenburg’s Homemade World – Saturday, October 3rd @ 2pm
This kid-friendly, parent-approved show is not your usual children’s hour, but rather a showcase of Rachel’s favorite activities including interactive sing-alongs, skits, and puppet shows, all featuring Rachel’s winning off-the-cuff comments and chirpy-sweet singing voice.

New Activities!*
